Synopsis
To define the undefinable: What is a gag and how to pull it off? is the intention behind this documentary, which tries to overcome the reticence of those interviewed in it: Blake Edwards, Peter Bogdanovich, Richard Lester and Juan Padrón. They talk about the mechanisms that trigger laughter, the gears, rules and timing of the gag, and the abundance of inventiveness of its main exponents. From the primitive gag of a waterer getting watered, through to comedy classics and even back to the kinescopes, this documentary is a hilarious summary of the genre.
